Traveling, Training, LIVING!

I hope you are having a great Spring Break. Maybe you are on a trip. Or perhaps you are staying home and will be traveling on vacation or business at a later date. Either way, it’s great to have a perspective on training for times when you are “on the road.”

Training while traveling is a topic that comes up frequently in our community, and that’s especially true with many of my coaching clients who travel extensively for business. I’ve learned a lot from them. 

Keeping with the theme here at The Lifetime Athlete, we don’t need too many “off” days in any given year. It’s not necessary to train at high volumes or intensity when on a trip, but keeping your training habit consistent helps to maintain your conditioning, health, and sanity. The challenge often lies in determining what you can or actually should do for workouts when on a trip.

I recently posted a brief podcast episode that covers some of my thoughts and observations regarding training while traveling. This came as a result of numerous questions which I frequently receive from my coaching clients on this topic. I think you’ll find some ideas and suggestions that will be useful.
