Week 3 of month 3 in the Endurance Block. Time for things to get ZESTY! Let’s hit a few milestones before we taper down and deload. You’ve been working toward this peak for quite a while.
Happy Veteran’s Day. Thank you to all veterans. It’s Eleven Eleven and we are in training heaven. The second week of our third and final month in the Endurance Block. Last week we did some varied and unique work. This week is similar.
Welcome to November and our 3rd and final month in the Endurance Block. You’ve done (literally) a TON of great work over the last two months. Zone-specific training. Mixed modal exercise. High durability and fatigue resistance output.
It’s the Final Countdown. To the month. This one has been a 5-weeker. Time to get into some big time deloading after last week’s major push. Being a fatigue-resistant, aerobically fit DuraBEAST is no easy task. But you are up to it.
I gotta tell ya! You’ve been doing a GREAT job with all this fatigue-resistant training. As you know, this month is a 5-weeker as well as being quite spooky. We’re really changing it up this week as we seek volume (as well as intensity) a little uniquely.
Building. Growing. Winning. It’s what we do. We’re piling on the volume in Workout A this week, and hitting some totally unique mojo in B and C. Training for fatigue resistance, repeatability, and durability is a fairly straightforward task. We use a mix of intensities but we let volume take precedence.
Week 2 of Month 2 in the Endurance Block. Raising the volume bar in the accumulation phase. Cardiorespiratory fitness. Muscular endurance. Overall A-kicking competency. That’s what we do. It’ who we are. Leaders in life, showing others the way. What can I say?
Hey Tribe Member! You’re AWESOME! Know it. Live it. Love it! Here we are headed into October and starting a new month in the Endurance Block. Last week’s deload should have left you feeling fresh and sassy. We are continuing to work on all-around conditioning with an emphasis on cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular endurance, and all-day durability.
As a member of the Cool Kids Club, otherwise known as The Lifetime Athlete Training Tribe, you are treating yourself to an easy, or deloading week. It’s time to back off a little and let your body absorb all this great training, and last week was certainly a “doozy.”
Hey, you DURABEAST! That’s TLA-talk for durable beast! We’re halfway through September and piling on some volume in our first of 3 months in the Endurance Block! We’re starting to get some really pleasant fall weather and you know how we love to celebrate each season to the max.
Happy 2nd week of September! And happy we are, because we’ve got several exciting new workouts to explore. With names like the Tripletimer, E90SS, and the Grin and Grind…you will continue to be the rock star of fitness in your hood (and beyond).
September! New month. New season. New Training Block. Endurance! It’s always equal parts fun and interesting to carry the fitness built in one block into another.
Greetings Great One! We’re at the end of a month, a block, and a season. Yep, we are finishing up August, the Speed Block, and summer (for the most part). I always find myself meeting these occasions with a mix of sadness and anticipation. Moving on is like that…in all aspects of life.
Lightning fast. Blazing quick. That’s YOU! And this block ain’t over yet! We are getting a bonus week this month, since we’re treating (ourselves) August as a 5-weeker. A bit more intensity this week. Unique workouts. A mix of fun and challenge, as always.
If you’re like me (and I know you are), you’re probably heading into Olympic Withdrawal Syndrome. Have no fear, that’s totally normal for a Lifetime Athlete and we can turn this into a positive. Our challenge this week is to take that Olympic mojo, while it is still so fresh in your mind, and come up with two goals of your own. Make one a process-oriented short term focus and the other a longer term product or outcome. There’s more on this assignment in the Weekly Challenge section.
Oh yeah! It’s time to invest in another week of our 2nd month of the Speed Block! The Olympics are going full bore and we’ll use that inspiration on the track (and bike and pool). There will be new options in the primary sections of the A1-2 and B1 sessions, as well as some low impact alternatives to utilize as needed.
We are beginning the second and final month of the Speed Block! Following last week’s deloading period, we are now ready for some truly rapid expression of athleticism. You’ll recall that last week’s challenge tasked us to do a bit of simple math, use some workout data, and come up with a predicted goal time for the 200 and 400 meters.
Whew…it’s HOT! And it’s time for a deloading week to allow our bodies to capture all the excellence which we have been experiencing. We are going to train easily, and concentrate on hydration and electrolytes.
Yo SpeedKatts! It’s intensification week for month 1 in the Speed Block. You have been patiently and steadily building your readiness to go fast. Stomp the pedal. Hit the gas. Floor it. Or insert your favorite term here.
Hello, you speedy and amazing Tribe Member! Welcome to Week 2 of this first month of the Speed Block. I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July holiday and now you’re getting ready to bear down with some good, hot training.
Greetings Great One! And of course we salute Wayne Gretzky! But I’m referring to YOU! Congratulations on getting to the culmination of the Power Block. That’s no small accomplishment because we did some really zesty training. This week we are backing off a tad (or more if you need it) to let those adaptations consolidate in your beastly body.
Greetings you amazing Tribal BEAST! June only has 30 days but it’s a 5-weeker for us due to our start date. We continue to pursue and explore power expression within our awesome summer training split.
